10. Next the sheet rock can be measured, cut and installed. Depending on the
complexity of the design and the size of the shaft, this can be quick and easy or a long and
labor intensive process.
11. Smoothing the joints and corners is the next step. This is accomplished cornerbead
for the corner joints and then applying several coats of quick and slow drying mudding compound.
12. After the shaft is made perfectly smooth it is ready for paint and texturing. In this
case texturing is applied using a pneumatic spray gun which also gives the shaft it's coat of paint.
